Key Responsibilities:
Operating Dialysis Equipment: Set up, operate, and monitor dialysis machines and related equipment according to established procedures and protocols.
Patient Assessment: Conduct pre- and post-dialysis patient assessments, including vital signs, weight measurement, and review of medical records to determine appropriate treatment parameters.
Treatment Monitoring: Monitor patients during dialysis treatment for any adverse reactions or complications. Adjust machine settings as necessary to ensure safe and effective treatment.
Patient Care: Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families about dialysis procedures, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments.
Infection Control: Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols, including sterilization of equipment and maintaining a clean and safe dialysis environment.
Documentation: Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and outcomes in medical records or electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nephrologists, nurses, and dietitians, to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies such as hypotension, bleeding, or other complications during dialysis procedures, following established emergency procedures.
